The Bureau for Intellectual Property Sint Maarten is hosting a unique two day seminar for IP professionals and administrators in the (Dutch) Caribbean. The main topic of the first day will be Trademarks, while the second day will be mainly about Copyrights and Patents.
BIP SXM is the official agency responsible for the implementation of the National Ordinance on Trademarks as well as providing information to the public about Intellectual Property. This informative seminar is free of cost (excluding the cost of lunch).

Both morning programs cover basic topics on intellectual property rights on Sint Maarten, such as Trademarks, Copyrights and Patents. This part of the program is specifically interesting for trademark administrators. In the afternoons you will receive more in depth information about the different topics, which will include possible scenario's on infringement and when to litigate. The afternoons are therefore particularly interesting for trademark representatives. Of course everyone is welcome to attend for an entire day or both days.
