The income of BIP SXM is mainly derived from revenues of trademark registrations and renewals (both national and international) as well as the revenues from patents registered via the Patent Office situated in the Netherlands.

The Bureau for Intellectual Property ( BIP SXM) was established upon the coming into force of the National Ordinance Bureau for Intellectual Property (LvBIE) as of October 1, 2015. The Bureau reports on its conducted (financial) policies through annual financial reports.
