The Bureau for Intellectual Property (BIP SXM), Director, Mrs. Vincentia Rosen-Sandiford attended the 141st (INTA) annual meeting, held in Boston, Massachusetts at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. This year’s annual meeting recorded its largest attendance of over 11,000 participants consisting of members, brand owners, trademark practitioners and other IP professionals.
BIP SXM has been a member of INTA since 2016 and its Director and staff have attended both annual and leadership meetings hosted by the organization. The annual meeting aims to provide educational knowledge and allows the opportunity for its members to network.
The five-day conference was filled with various presentations and panel discussions, namely on the registering, monitoring and enforcing of Intellectual Property rights as well as various leadership development sessions.
The Directors looks back on a positive experience and intends to use the knowledge gained and the relationships fostered for the further development of the Bureau and IP awareness on Sint Maarten.
The 142nd annual meeting is scheduled to take place in April 2020 in Singapore.
