The Bureau for Intellectual Property Sint Maarten (BIP SXM), in collaboration with the Culture department of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Youth and Sport, and international IP expert Dr. Marsha Cadogan of Canaan Bridges Consulting in Canada, successfully organized a two-day workshop tailored for the creatives of Sint Maarten last year.
The primary objective of the workshop was to equip creatives with essential information and tools, supporting them in turning their artistic talents into business opportunities.
Diverse presentations were delivered during the workshop, covering topics such as trademark protection within and beyond the region. Mrs. Vincentia Rosen-Sandiford, the Director of BIP SXM, presented on this crucial aspect. Additional presentations included 'Culture Confidence' by Ms. Clara Reyes, the Department Head of Culture, and 'Copyright on an International Level' by Dr. Marsha Cadogan.
